Gharkorukh is a private family tree management app. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Information We Collect

• Account info (name, email, hashed password, optional profile photo)
• Family tree data (names, dates, relationships, photos voluntarily entered)
• Photos uploaded for AI-assisted import
• Standard usage/crash logs for app improvement
• Support communications

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain your account and family tree
• For AI-powered features (e.g. family tree import from photos)
• For important notices (security alerts, invitations, policy changes)
• For anonymised analytics to improve the app
• To respond to support requests
• We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT use family data for advertising.

4. AI Features

• Uploaded images for AI import are not retained beyond the request
• Extracted data is shown for your review before being saved
• AI processing uses third-party providers under strict data agreements

5. Family Members You Add

You may add information about others (including people without accounts). You are responsible for having appropriate consent for living individuals. Deceased member data is protected the same as living member data.

6. Sharing and Disclosure

Only shared with: family group members (per your access settings), service providers (cloud hosting, DB, AI inference), legal requirements, or a business transfer (with advance notice).

7. Data Retention

Data retained while account is active. Deletion within 30 days of account removal. Anonymised analytics retained indefinitely.

8. Security

TLS encryption, encrypted storage, hashed passwords, access controls. Report issues to gharkorukh@gmail.com.

9. Your Rights

Access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing. Contact gharkorukh@gmail.com. Response within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

Not directed at children under 13. Children under 13 may appear in a family tree only when added by a parent or guardian.

11. Third-Party Services

Cloud hosting, AI model providers, push notifications. No advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.

12. Changes to This Policy

Significant changes notified via email or in-app before taking effect.
